With Peerie Willy Johnson Shetland Willy innovated guitar accompaniment playing jazz chords behind fiddle tunes. Loved Blues and jazz from Roland Kirk to Lonnie Johnson Eddy Lang Django Reinhardt. It was Willy who was responsible for getting me up to Shetland Festival. Met Willy jamming with him at the Merrymass festival in Ayrshire in the 1980s.
